FLOWER FESTIVAL - 2012 Theme to be announced shortly...
Arranged by local enthusiasts, the Flower Festival is always a very popular element of our open garden weekend.
Plans are still being finalised for 2012, and the Festival will once again take place in St Mary's church, over the whole weekend. Visitors are invited to admire elaborate and imaginative themed floral displays, beautifully arranged throughout the ancient church.
SCROLL OF REMEMBRANCE
The Scroll of Remembrance is lovingly created anew for each Bramshott Open Gardens weekend. Created entirely by hand by a local caligrapher, the Scroll commemorates locals and loved ones who have passed on, and whose lives are remembered and celebrated by their family and friends on this special weekend. The Scroll is positioned in St Mary’s church.
If you would like to add your personal commemoration to the 2012 Scroll please contact the organisers via email.
CONCERT RECITAL - Details TBC
Saturday 6.15pm
St Mary’s, Bramshott
In previous years our concert recital has featured popular classical works for solo soprano, small string ensemble, organ and choir.
A highlight of our Open Gardens weekends, the concert recitals take place in atmospheric St Mary’s church, supported and accompanied by the recently restored church organ. Our plans for 2012 include a choral recital, and we will be confirming details soon...
Tickets for the 2012 concert will be priced at £5 per person and will be on sale from the Church Office in Portsmouth Road, Liphook. Telephone 01428 725 390.
Tickets will also be available over the Open Gardens weekend from the triangle, and at St Mary’s on Saturday night, subject to availability.
[ Please note that seating within the church is limited to approximately 140 visitors, so we recommend that you pre-purchase your tickets to secure your seats. We are unable to reserve any seating, and we will make every effort to accommodate any disabled visitors who are able to attend and for whom some limited space is available, if requested prior to the recital. ]
VINTAGE LAWNMOWERS
As in previous years visitors will once again be able to admire an exquisite collection of fully functioning and beautifully restored vintage and classic lawnmowers.
WOOD AND STONE CARVING
We are delighted that two Bramshott village residents are opening their workshop studios over the Open Gardens weekend. Visitors and locals alike will be able to watch expert craftspeople in action and admire some of their work in progress, as well as some magnificent completed pieces.
Tony and Clementine Nuttall are also happy to discuss commissions, which can include house signs, heraldic features, garden ornaments and memorial stonemasonry.
