The sun shone in Bramshott on June 9 and 10, 2018, when we opened our gardens for the 16th biennial Bramshott Open Gardens weekend.

Officially opened by Hugh Bonneville, with our Village Crier Terry Burns in full cry (it was his birthday!), St Mary’s churchyard saw a large and cheerful crowd gather which set the tone for the whole weekend. Over both days we hosted 1,064 paying visitors; a record number and a 24% increase on 2016.

The Bramshott Open Gardens (BOG) Committee wants to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved, and we hope that you all enjoyed the event as much as our visitors. We are delighted to report that in the end BOG 2018 raised a total of £18,747 – an all-time record!

This has enabled us to make the following donations:

£5,012 – Macmillan Cancer Care to train and qualify two local Macmillan nurses to write and dispense prescriptions

£5,012 – St Mary’s Church Bramshott  to help install a new kitchen and refreshment area

£1,850 – Bramshott Sunken Lanes Project –to help protect the village’s ancient sunken lanes

£1,662 – Local projects – to support the Bramshott Bugle; Bramshott Christmas Lights; new village notice board; Triangle protection; Bramshott Oak bench; etc.

£1,102 – Liphook Day Centre – to support the vital work they do for our elderly residents

£567 – Hollycombe School  – to support their new Outdoor Learning initiative

Our village did us all very proud, and we also want to thank our Sponsors:
